The path of righteousness leads to righteous living

The book of Proverbs 4:18 talked about the path of the just (righteous). "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." This is an indication of continuous journey. Righteousness was attained by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. He gave us a perfect example of a righteous living. Righteousness is a gift delivered to us by Jesus Christ. How can we attain what has been delivered to us? Well, the answer is simple - looking at the perfect destination. A glorious home that Jesus promised.

When we daily observe our walk with God from the Bible in assurance that we are nearing home, we strengthen the assurance we have in the perfect work of his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus gave righteousness to us by His Death and Resurrection. It is our responsibility to maintain it as Christians. You are by now aware that righteousness is not physically achievable but eternally sustained. Jesus played His part. We have a part to play, not by works but by walk. A continuous desire to listen to God on every step of the way. When we walk the walk of Christ, we are on a journey to righteous living.
