Leadership is Delegation

And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom. And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them. 2 Chronicles 2:1-2

Solomon decided to build the temple. He knew the task is great. He couldn’t build it alone. He shared the vision and commissioned great men in thousands. These men were to bear the burden with him while some to act as overseers. What an amazing principle!

The work of God is no man’s project. When you’re called, you call others. It’s a chain reaction. It’s a movement. The leaders in our church knew this. Our leaders are commissioned to lead and delegate.

Don’t do the task of God alone. Empower others to be of help. Share the burden while you bear the burden. Don’t create a mortal stress. God is immortal and He made people available for His assignment.

Your leadership is as effective as your delegation.

2 Timothy 2:2 (KJV)

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Commit unto faithful men.

Let me know how delegation helped you in leadership in the comment section.
