Activating your faith

Updated: Feb 9, 2020

Faith is an essential component of Christianity and life. When faith is lacking, people live in the fear of the unknown. We are encouraged in the Scriptures to exercise our faith (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is unseen. The first step to the appearance of things hope for. Anything seen no longer requires faith. Faith does not have to make sense or clear. It is taking the first step on a road with no assurance of the final destination. Faith is silently at work daily. It is proven effective until final destination is reached. How do we activate this faith early?

Faith reminds me of my coming to the United States. No family or friends to take along. It was a step of faith. Coming to a land unknown was mysterious. Knowing that everything would work out for good became a trigger. Having this understanding made fear disappeared. The moment we eradicate faith from our lives or society, we are trapped with fear. Faith is the antidote to fear. Fear is from the devil. Devil wants us to live a chaotic life especially in our moment of uncertainty. The best way to overcome this scheme of the devil is to activate your faith. Faith is activated by continuous exposure to the truth of God's word, the Bible (Romans 10:17). If you don't hear it, you can't believe it. If you don't believe it, you can't activate it. If you can't activate it, you can't live it. Activating your faith starts with a step, hear the word of faith preached from the Scripture.
