Elevation

An elevation is synonymous with an upgrade. An outdated software frequently requires an upgraded version to perform efficiently. An upgrade is always needed because there is no perfect technology, no perfect science, and we live in an imperfect world.

We do not have to look far before we see a reflection of imperfection. We can see faults almost everywhere we turn. It is among family, friends, society, and members of the same Church. There was no perfection in this world until Jesus Christ came in the form of a man to present His Church unto perfection. Paul admonishes us to do the same, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless." Ephesians 6:25-27.

We can not walk in God's perfection unless we engage the Spirit of God. We are equipped with the Holy Spirit to work efficiently as believers. Holy Spirit is our everlasting software. Although Holy Spirit needs no upgrade, we must constantly elevate our Spirit through the Word of God. It is through our continuous exposure to the Word of God that we can stay spiritually upgraded. Spiritual elevation/upgrade requires sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
