Build to Specifications

One of the things the Bible taught us is specification. There are numerous examples especially in the Old Testament about specifications require for a building, people, or nation. These examples followed a similar pattern in Christ ministries on earth. He was specific about His location, needs, and expectations. Children of God must do the same. We must be specific in our approach to life. This is possible through the work of the Holy Spirit in us.

2 Chronicles 4:1

Moreover he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the height thereof.

In our text today, Solomon started instructing the builders to build to specifications. An inch would make a difference. They must build to the pattern revealed and instructed by His father, David. They must not be too smart to adjust God’s specifics because of what others think. The builders must allow God to do the math. It is about trust and obedience to Him while He stays faithful to His promise. Today, the Holy Spirit guides the believers in the way they should go. He guides us in the project to do. He is the Master of time and season. He knew what's right for us per time. When He gives us assignment it is for a particular time, location, and moment. The assignment would never be exactly the same with your neighbors or friends. The Holy Spirit would not create a room for jealousy and envy.
